Volunteers Needed! St. John's Thrift Shop is in need of volunteer workers to hang, price and display re-sellables donated to the Thrift Shop. Workers have potluck meetings in March and October each year. The Thrift Shop gives clothes and household items to needy and people who have had house fires (through the Church Office). The Thrift Shop gives earnings to St. John's Lutheran Church several times each year. The Thrift Shop has been blessed with willing workers that have kept the store open for more than 20 years. If you would like to help, call Mary Jo Uebele, Arlene Macker , or e-mail or call the Church office. You do not have to be a member of St. John's
to volunteer. Your help is needed and appreciated!
Thrift Shop History
St. John's Thrift Shop first opened in the old St.
John's school building on A street , and the women of the congregation ran the
shop under the direction of Miss Adelheid Schumm.
It has since moved into a building
across the street from the school.
